Joycee-ettes are guests of Welcome Wagon
The February meeting of
the Mount Joy Joycee-ettes
was held at the Mount Joy
American Legion by invita-
tion from the’ Welcome
Wagon Club. President

new member Bev Swanson
and guests Diane Redcay,
Jana Hamilton, Jessica
Crouser, Linda Kershner,
and Lisa Corrigal.
Brownie Chairman Vickie
Brown reported friendship
pins and Brownie °‘B’
badges will be purchased
for the three club-sponsor-
ed troops. The Sweetheart
King & Queen Contest
which was donated to the
Donegal Dental Clinic.
Motion was made and
carried to enter a float in
the Mount Joy Memorial
Day parade.
A committee was formed
to assist Baby-Sitting Clinic
co-chairwomen Jacquie
McCurdy and LaVon Harn-
proceeds totalled . $415,

are planning an Easter egg
hunt for their children and
a family bus trip to the
Philadelphia Zoo on April
29th.
The final order of
business on the agenda
was the nominations for
new officers. Installation of
the elected will take place
at the Jaycee/Joycee-ette
banquet on April 8th, at
the Brunswick in Lancaster.
With the meeting ad-
journed, the club joined the
Welcome Wagon members
for refreshments. Guest

E-town College’s Concert
Band will present a free
public performance on Sun-
day, Feb. 26th, at 3 PM in
the Thompson Gym. Music
will include a medley of
show tunes, a symphonic
march, and Hanson’s Chor-
ale and Alleluia.
Student Sharon Zimmer-
man of Mount Joy will solo
on oboe in two selections.
Other numbers will be by
Telemann and Chance.
