Santa look-alike elected at Vo-Tech
The Mount Joy Vo-Tech
has announced the winners
of the Santa Claus contest,
which made $100 for the
Four Diamonds Fund,
which sponsors cancer
research.
The Vo-Tech class start-
ed getting ready on
December 16th, by decorat-
ing coffee cans and putting
pictures of the teachers
who were running for the
Santa Claus title on the
cans.
Nine teachers tried to
outdo each other as Santa.
They were Mr. Currey, Mr.
Fritsch, Mr. Gibble, Mr.
Ginder, Mr. Kinney, Mr.
dePerrot, Mr. See, Mr.
Snavely, and Mr. Zerphey.
The cans were displayed
in the lobby for a week,
while students donated
nickel votes to the Santa
look-alike of their choices.
The winner was Mr.
Fritsch, an auto mechanics
instructor. He had a grand
total of 436 votes. Mr.
Zerphey was the runnerup
from Graphic Arts with 410
votes, and Mr. Kinney of
the Building Trades depart-
ment took third place with
337 votes.
Mr. Fritsch, as the
winner, was pushed by
elves into the various class-
rooms on a sleigh-like cart,
and threw candy at all the
students and faculty losers.
