Colvin Christmas Eve at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Mount Joy will feature three choirs pre- senting music from Mexico, Scotland, Japan, Africa, Poland and American fa- vorites. The service begins at 8:00 p.m. The Chancel Choir directed by Anna Mae Williamson will have as soloists, Eileen Martin, Judy Armold, James End- slow, Carole Musser, and a flute solo by Ellen End- slow. The song, ‘‘Chanti- cleer’” will include Dean Musser on the triangle and Ellen Endslow with the tambourine. Christian Women’s Club news by Hazel Crankshaw The January meeting of the Elizabethtown Christian Women’s Club is planned for noon on Jan. 4 at Myer Dining Hall of Elizabeth- town College. Officers for the coming year will be in- stalled. Donald Yoder, director of Food Services at the college, will present new ideas for food for the new year. Music will be pro- vided by a well-known trio comprised of Mrs. Marian Garber, Mrs. Miriam Kauffman, and Robert Hiestand. Jack C. Sofield, head of Radiation Physics at the Reading Hospital and Med- ical Center will speak. Mr. Sofield is involved with the technical aspects of diag- nostic and therapeutic radiology, serves as radia- tion safety officer for the hospital, and instructs radiology residents and technicians. His work in- volves the use of the latest in x-ray linear accelerators and computerized treat- ment planning in the treat- ment of cancer. His hobby of photo- graphy has led to numer- ous awards, and he is a popular speaker at summer conferences, youth meet- ings and seminars. Reservations for the luncheon must be made before Dec. 30; tickets ($4) will be on sale at the door. Nursery will be open at the Elizabethtown Church of God. CPR course in Maytown A free CPR course will be offered by the East Donegal Jaycees on Janu- ary 16, 17, 18, and 19, from 7:00 to 10:00 PM each night.
