BPW hears
guest author
Mrs. Eva Mae Christ,
author of the book, Take
This House, was the guest
speaker at the December
meeting of the BPW held
at Hostetter’s Dining Hall.
Mrs. Christ told the
group of her emotions and
experiences in regard to
the book, which concerns
the author and her relation-
ship to Jesus. She not only
spoke, but also sang and
accompanied herselt on
autoharp at certain points.
The program, arranged
by the Hospitality Commit-
tee, included also singing
by students from Grand-
view school, under the
direction of Mrs. Pat Enos.
Mrs. Pat Eberly then
introduced the DHS Girl of
the Month, Karen Albright,
and her mother, Mrs.
Marvin Albright, of Mari-
etta RDI.
The current ptesident of
the BPW, Mrs. Koser,
gave a plaque to the first
holder of her office: Mrs.
George Broske.
Homeowners who partici-
pated in the Candlelight
Tour were guests at the
meeting.
Future activities of the
club will include the distri-
bution of gifts to senior cit-
izens in homes. Mrs. Tome
is the chairwoman of this
project. Mrs. Margaret
Brown and her young
careerists committee will
arrange the January 23
meeting.
The board meeting will
be held January 9th at
Mrs. Koser's home.
The session closed with
the group singing ‘‘Silent
Night."
