Birchall Miss Susan Jean Gieg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Gieg, 160 W. High St., Maytown, was united in marriage to Mr. William C. Birchall, son of Mrs. Ruth M. Birchall and the late Charles F. Birchall, Jr., 320 Ruby St., Lancas- ter, on Saturday, December 10th at 12:30 PM in Redeemer Lutheran Church at S00 Pearl St., Lancaster, with Rev. Carl Frederick officiating. The bride, given in mar- riage by her father, wore a gown of white satin with a train and overskirt of white crepe de shene. The bodice and long sleeves were trimmed in Valencian lace, and her waist length veil was held in place by a half cap and was trimmed in seed pearls and matching Valencian lace. She carried an Ivy Cascade bouquet of yellow roses, carnations, and baby breath. Mrs. Linda Kendig, Mount Joy RD1, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Miss Diane Birchall of Lancaster, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid, and Miss Linda Sue Gieg of Marietta, niece of the bride, was junior brides- maid. Guest book attendant was Mrs. Nancy Jones, Mount Joy RDI1. Gift attendant was Patricia Weaver of Columbia. Or- ganist was Mrs. John J. Chaplasky of Millersville. The bride’s attendants wore gowns with dark green velvet bodices and mint green skirts. They carried baskets of yellow mums, carnations, and white daisies. Miss Erica Lee Connor, Millersville, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. She wore a gown of mint green trimmed with dark green velvet bows, and carried a basket of white carnations. Serving as best man was Mr. Edward Birchall, Lan- caster, brother of the groom. Ushers were Mr. Jeffrey Kindrew of Lancas- ter and James H. Gieg, Marietta, brother of the bride. Master James R. Kendig, RD1 Mount Joy, and James A. Gieg, Marietta, both nephews of the bride, were the ring- bearers. The reception was held at Willow Valley Farms Restaurant. The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s mother, was held at the Jolly Fisherman. The bride was feted at several pre-nuptial showers by her co-workers and her sister, Mrs. Kendig. The bride graduated from Donegal High School and is employed by the County of Lancaster as a key punch operator and assistant computer oper- ator. The groom attended McCaskey High School and is employed by Lancaster Newspapers Inc. as an assistant foreman. The couple will live at Yucquan Glen Road, Holt- wood RD#2.
