Assistants of miraculous Padre Pio
to speak at Catholic Church
by Judy Nadeau
Padre Pio was a man of
prayer and suffering. In
addition to being the first
priest in the Catholic
Church to bear the five
bleeding wounds of Christ,
Padre Pio was extraor-
dinary in that "his mystical
gifts gave him the privi-
lege to read the hearts and
minds of people; to be in
two locations at the same
time; to obtain from God
cures from illnesses; to
speak all languages; to
transmit an odor known as
the ““Odor of Sanctity’’; to
foretell the future; and to
reach out to souls and
obtain their conversion.
There will be a free
lecture about the life of
Padre Pio and his extraor-
dinary faith at St. Mary’s
Catholic Church, 349 East
Market Street, Marietta,
Sunday, Nov. 20 at 2:30
PM.
Guest speakers at this
lecture will be Mrs. Vera
Calandra, Director of the
U.S.A National Centre for
Thanksgiving breakfast
at English Presbyterian

ian Church are sponsoring

in the church social hall on
Thursday November 24th at
8:00 AM.

be a performance by the
Crestmen, a quartet from
Virginia.
