77 CS- jf November 2, 1977 ..slaughter [continued from back page] ball across the goal line without the benefit of Ney’s mighty arm. The Indian’s running game added 141 yards to Ney’s 212. The defense, as the zero in the final score indicates, played with its usual aggressive precision. The Indians are expected to win next Friday’s home game against Cocalico, which has only won once this season. Cocalico’s main weapon is an accurate quarterback named Mark Mastrangelo, who is a very good passer when he has time to throw. He doesn’t often have time to throw, and the Indians plan to see that his problem doesn’t go away. The Cocalico defense is tougher than the team’s record indicates, so don’t be surprised if the Indians occassionally have trouble moving the ball against them. In the past, Cocalico’s offense has made so many mistakes (like fumbling on their own S yard line) that the defense has been unable to prevent oppon- ents from scoring.
