INSULATE NOW!
No matter how you heat
your home, no doubt it’s
costing you more than ever
before. That’s why it pays
to insulate.
Sure, buying insulation
means laying some money
out now. But, the beauty of
it is, you get it back. . . in
energy savings ... year
after year.
Why is PP&L telling
you this? Because we want
to help you hold your elec-
tricity costs down-even
though you may not heat
your home electrically.
You see, even fuel-fired
home heating systems de-
pend on electric motors to
circulate heat. If your home

is well insulated these mo-
tors don’t work as hard.
And that saves electricity.
What’s more, electricity
powers air conditioners. In
summer, that same insula-
tion keeps your home cooler.
That saves, too.
So, if your home is not
insulated to the R-values
shown above, consider add-
ing at least enough insula-
tion to reach these levels.
“R” values indicate the
thermal “resistance” of the
insulation. The higher the
R-value, the more effective
the insulation will be.
Remember, energy is
too valuable to waste... it
pays to insulate.
