Malloy, Braves Reporter On October 15, Donegal Braves ‘‘D’’ Team was hosted by St. Joseph in Lancaster. The first quarter was a defensive battle between both teams, but in the second quarter Donegal got their offence moving. Quarter back Scott Ney pitched out to ‘‘Big’’ John Melson around the left side and ran for a 40 yard touchdown; John Edgell assisted Melson by throw- ing a super block on the play. The outstanding de- fense, led by Mickey Snyder, held St. Joe to a 6-0 score the first half. The third quarter began ih Your Local Insurance with a defensive battle. With less than two minutes left, again Scott Ney pitched out to Melson and he ran for a 36 yard touchdown. Jesse Shank ran for a hard extra point (carrying a couple of St. Joe’s players with him). The fourth quarter was a defensive battle all over again. Mickey Snyder proved to be very aggres- sive by sacking the quarterback numerous times throughout the game, with the help of the other defensive players. The game ended with a 13-0 victory over a very tough St. Joe team. Company Supporting a Local Effort )JONEGAL TUAL INSURANCE COMPANY AARIETTA, PENNA.
