September 28, 1977 Lu Ann Eichler « Lu Ann Eichler to wed V. Stephen Baker Mr. and Mrs. Franklin R. Eichler, of R.D. 3, Mount Joy, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lu Ann E. Eichler to V. Stephen Baker. The bride-elect is a 1976 graduate of Donegal High School and is employed by Nolt’s Ponds, Silver Springs. Mr. Baker is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn H. Baker, of 129 South Market Street, Mount Joy. He is a 1976 graduate of Donegal High School and is em- ployed at Baker’s 66, Inc., Mount Joy. A February 11, 1978 wedding is being planned. Marietta Chorus starts rehearsals The Marietta Community Chorus is starting rehear- sals for Down From His Glory, this year’s produc- tion, to be presented on December 4th. If you are 16 or older, you are invited to join. Director of the Commun- ity Chorus is Mrs. Gerald Libhart. The officers are Hoffman Charles, presi- dent; Mrs. Richard Smedley, v.p.; and Mrs. George Bryant, secretary treasurer. Karen Sanford Brenda Peters appointed at E-town College Brenda Mount Joy has been ap- pointed director of Health Care at Elizabethtown College. Mrs. Peters is a graduate of Lancaster General school of nursing and Millersville State (B.S. in nursing). She was formerly director of nursing at the Denver Nursing Home. F. Peters of is the organist, Clara Bryant the pianist, and Don Kugle narrator. Practice begins on Oct. 6th at 7:30 PM at the First Methodist Church, E. Mar- ket St., Marietta. Members of former years should note the change in practice time. Fitzkee promoted Jesse F. Fitzkee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fitzkee of RD1 Marietta, was recently promoted to the rank of Army specialist 4 while serving as a mechan- ic with the 3rd Infantry in Bad Kissingen, Germany. Jesse enlisted in March 1976, just before he gradu- ated from Donegal High.
