DID YOU HEAR?
Mrs. Clair Hoffman and
Mrs. Lester Wolgemuth,
both of the Mount Joy
area, recently spent nine
days on a ‘‘working vaca-
tion” at a camp for young
black and Spanish-speaking
girls from New York City.
The two friends served
as cooks for a Brethren in
Christ church camp in
Wurtsboro, New York,
called the Spring Lake
Retreat. The 64 girls there
ranged in age from 11 ta.
1S. In addition to the
regular meals, the kids
were treated to cook outs,
buffet suppers, and a final
-night banquet.
The two volunteers hope
to return next year.
