Mrs. Cox has made a hobby of herbs, doing research on them and knowing many other herb growers. Mrs. Cox spoke on the various herbs mentioned in the Bible, including aloes, mints, coriander, leeks, and hyssop. The schedule for the near future is: October 6th, sewing at the General Hospital; November 8th, Homemaker’s day at the Farm and Home Center, where the Farm Women will have a table of items. Member were entertain- ed by three Donegal dramatics students; Bonnie Wolgemuth, Wayne Mylin and James Landis, per- forming ‘‘Marriage Propo- sal’’ by Russian playwright Anton Chekhov. A committee was formed to assist and support the Donegal Senior Class Play which is slated for produc- tion October 14 and 1S. Miss Catharine Zeller will direct the play, ‘‘Anne of Green Gables.”’ PUFA plans to support the Veterans’ Day Program which will be held the evening of November 11. Shuman, treasurer. Commissioner Thomas Webster complimented the Mount Joy Borough Auth- ority for its initiative in starting a water conserva- tion program without being prodded by an agency or a shortage.
