The meeting was called to order by President Shaeffer at 12 noon. After the invocation by Raymond Kaylor the members enjoy- ed a box lunch. : The Secretary’s report was presented by Anna Zerphey, the treasurer’s report by Almeda Hostetter and Ella Germer of the Sunshine Committee re- ported 16 cards sent to shut-ins. The Glossbrenner Chan- cel Choir will sing the anthems, ‘‘Now We Sing Joyfully unto God,” “Would ¥ou,’’ and ‘‘People to People.’’ The Youth Choir will sing, and Sandy Heisey and Linda Reaheard will perform the duets, ‘‘Sweet, Sweet Spirit’’ and ‘‘Jesus, Pray for Me.” There will also be an old -fashioned Hymn Sing. You are invited to share in this informal service. Bring a lawn chair. In case of rain, the service will be held in the Beahm Jr. High auditor- ium. Leisure Club meets A bus trip is being planned for one day to Atlantic City on August 31 and members were asked to sign a paper if they desired to take the trip. Another trip to the Great Adventure Safari is being planned for the latter part of September and in Octo- ber a bus trip to the Horse Shoe Curve is being plann- ed. Mr. Dennis Fackler will present the program at the September 12 meeting and will be about the new life saving equipment the Friendship Fire Company has available. The October meeting Grace and Joe Shaeffer will show their European covered bridge slides. The November 14 meeting the men will serve and bingo will be played and December 14 will be the Christmas party a! Hostetter’s. Hostesses for the Sep- tember meeting are Mrs. David Stauffer, Mrs. Opal Sterret, Mrs. Joe Shaeffer, Katherine Sherer, Minnie Tucker, Mary College, Mrs. Irvin Ginder, Mrs. Ober, Harriet Brown and Dorothy Neidigh. President Shaeffer appointed Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Braun greeters for the September meeting. The meeting adjourned and bingo was enjoyed by the members, the prizes being food items.
