Scott Wood coming to United Presbyterian The Reverend Scott Wood has accepted the pastorate of the English United Presbyterian Church, Marietta, which will begin September 1. A native of New Jersey, Rev. Wood recently cele- brated his 30th anniversary in the ministry and is a graduate of Bloomfield Col- lege and Bloomfield Sem- gregations in his home state, Pennsylvania, Can- ada and most recently in western New York State. Mrs. Cornelia Wood is from the Williamsport area and the couple has six children; Athelia, Buffalo, New York; Richard, U.S. Air Force, Elgin Air Force Base, Florida; Arlene, Margaret, Thomas Jr., and David all at home. Schock registration The Schock Senior Cen- ter has new registration hours for the senior dis- count program. Mrs. Nancy Morrow, manager of the center at 37 E. Main St., Mount Joy, announced that registration can be done on Thursdays only, starting September Ist. Hours are 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Band camp About 150 people attend- ed the annual Band Camp at Gettysburg College last week. The students learned a few new routines. Glen Leib, assisted by Albert Sacko (guest drill instructor) instructed the musicians. Helena Sacko was assistant drill instruc- tor. Gloria Foreman taught the majorettes and Art Bachman the color guard. Walter Foltz beat percus- sion into the students. Some leading students were: Becky Zimmerman, drum major; Kim Wilkinson, twirling major- ette; Robin Garber, head majorette; Mary Beth McComsey, captain of the color guard; Tammy Portner, silk sergeant.
