August 3, 1977 Mrs. Roxanne Henry New, unfrayed curtain’s cost is defrayed by contribution In the closing assembly of the 1976-77 school year, two checks were presented to Mr. Donald W. Drenner, Principal of Donegal High School, to help defray the cost of the new front stage curtain which was installed in the high school auditor- ium this year. A contribution of $250.00 was presented to the Cur- tain Fund by the Class of 1976. In the presentation of the gift, Mrs. Mary-Mar- garet Peraro, speaking on behalf of Joseph Meszaros, President of the Class of 1976, indicated that the class donation was made in recognition of the many members of that class who had performed on the Donegal stage throughout their high school years. James Johnson, Presi- dent of the Donegal High School Dramatics Club, presented to Mr. Drenner a check for $700.00, to be deposited also to the Stage Curtain Fund. This contri- bution represented the pro- ceeds recognized from the Dramatics Club’s May 13 benefit performance of Night Watch and from the June 4 Garage Sale. In addition to the $950.00 presented at the June 16 assembly, $114.00 had pre- viously been deposited to the fund from Dramatics Club bake sales and from performing arts presenta- tions earlier in the year.
