Senator Ralph W. Hess,
R-28 District, announced
the results of his first
30-day district wide survey
(York-Lancaster). The ques-
tionnaire was developed to
reflect the current legisla-.
tive calendar, so that the
Senator would have consti-
tuent imput on the current
issues. The 5S questions
were:
1. Would you support a
proposal to call a U.S.
Constitutional Convention
in order to amend the
Constitution to prohibit any

moment of fertilization?
The answers were: Yes
(30.0%); No (67.4%); Un-
decided (2.6%).
2. Do you favor granting
a sales tax exemption on
the purchase of energy
saving devices such as
insulation and solar heat-
ing? The answers were:
Yes (83.1%); No (16.4%);
Un. (0.5%).
3. Do you support any
action to bail out the
Philadelphia Public Schools
with State funds? The
answers were: Yes
(13.1%); No (84.9%); Un.
(2.0%).
4. Would you favor the
