He graduated from Hempfield High School. He is employed by Armstrong Cork Co. Nicholson-Hiestand Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas G. Nicholson, of Rockville, MD., announce the en- gagement of their daugh- ter, Denise Ann, to Christ- ian James Hiestand, son of Mrs. Mary G. Hiestand and the late Christian J. Hiestand, of 10S S. Arnold St., Maytown. The bride-elect is a 1973 graduate of Robert E. Peary High School of Rock- ville, Md. She was an art major at Montgomery Col- lege in Rockville, Md. She is an artist now doing charcoal and pastel portraits at the Alpine Slide, an authentic mount- ain slide in Gilford, New Hampshire. Her fiance is a 1969 graduate of Elizabethtown Area High School. He attended Philadelphia College of Bible for two years in biblical studies, and received his B.A. degree in biblical studies from Florida Bible College in 1974. He also attended Miami Photography School, and received a one-year dip- loma in portraiture from Rhode Island Photography College. Hiestand is part owner and manager of Genesis II, a jewelry store. The couple plans an outdoor wedding for Sep- tember 10, 1977 at the Anchorage Cottages on Lake Winnisquam.
