UCC kids eat ice cream
To top off an ideal week
of fun, games and food, 20
members of the United
Church of Christ, Marietta,
were treated to home made
ice cream, Friday after-
noon. The ice cream was
served after a cook out
which climaxed day camp
at the stone mill residence
of the Reverend and Mrs.
C.C. Rex.
The children, who rang-
ed in age from kindergar-
ten thru -10 years, hiked,
cooked out, studied nature
and enjoyed crafts and
games each day last week
under Carol Drager, camp
director. The Reverand and
Mrs. Rex conducted devo-
tions, Janet McMillen and
Marion McKain supervised
crafts, Jean Prescott organ-
ized recreation, Floyd
Runkle, camp conselor, led
the nature hikes and Emily
Buchanan and Marn Collins
were helpers.
This was the first of a
three week series of camp-
ing for the students attend-
ing Marietta United Church
of Christ. Next Week the
Juniors will have overnight
camping and the following
week ages 7 thru 10 will
have overnight camping
and the following week
ages 7 thru 10 will enjoy
similar activities.
