July EB 27, 1977 KERR ARRER RRR R RRR RRR REE hl The highlight of the Florin Playground activities this week was a hike to the cove. We all packed a lunch. Our trusty anglers took their rods and bait down to the cove with visions of rainbow trout, but had to settle for a few crayfish. It was a hot but pleasant experience hiking 3 to the cove, with Tom Konas at the front of the line, Gene Funk at the end, and our fearless leader Whitey Hayman in his ambulance (Toyota Wagon) cruising the route. Other activities we had this past week were a String Art Craft and a Pizza Florin Playground kids on their trip Florin Playground news Dress up like a Clown Day. This comming week, and continuing until August 4th, are the Florin Play- ground Swimming Lessons held at the Mount Joy Lions Pool. Lessons are held from 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. each day except Tuesday. Also in next week's activities is a Rec- | * Bae Last week 4-H girls learned to make pizza at the E-town Pizza Hut as part of their study of international cooking. Meeting for six weeks, the girls (Gail Bukowski, Tammy Eberly, Jean Garber, and Angela Fry) prepared one dish each week from various countries. They also visited Groff’s Farm Restaurant. Group leader was Barbara Banks. xX Mount Joy Cub Pack 136 held an overnight camp-out at Camp Wilderness Cub Scout Camp under the leadership of Robert Mark, Clifford Waltz, Sr., Myron Weber, J. L. Oxford and Walter Newcomer. Other leaders attending were Ann Mark, Enda Wolf, Carolyn Waltz, Victor Wolf, Charles Heaps, and Loretta Dimeler.
