Miss Carol Ann Houseal
and Scott T. Sener: were
united in marriage on
Saturday, July 23, at First
United Methodist Church,
Columbia, by the Reverend
John S. Hiestand, with
Rev. A. Kenneth Heller,
assisting. The double ring
ceremony was performed at
2 p.m. with the bride given
in marriage by her parents.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Norman
Houseal, 26 S. Queen St.,
Maytown. She wore a
princess style gown of
organza over taffeta. The
bodice was lavishly trim-
med with beaded cluny lace
creating a bib-effect and
had a sheer yoke and high
neckline. The long fitted
sleeves were of cluny lace
and pearls and had a
ruffled lace edging. The
skirt was adorned with
appliques of venise lace
and had a cluny lace ruffle
which continued onto the
Cathedral length train. Her
finger tip length veil was
trimmed with matching
lace. She carried a bouquet
of daises, carnations of
blue and lavender and
baby’s breath.
The groom is the son of
Mr and Mrs. Elmer IL
Senor, 1710 Manor St.,
Columbia.
Mrs. Linda J. Good,
sister of the bride, Marietta
R.D. #1, was matron of
honor,” bridesmaids were
Miss Nadyne E. Hiestand
and Miss Lu Ann Singer,
both of Maytown.
Gary L. Kipp, Lancaster,
served as best man and
Ronald Morris, Maytown,
and Wayner Johnson, New-
ark Delaware, were ushers.
Soloist was Richard Ash-
by, who was accompanied
by Mrs. William Miller.
Laurel and Holly Sener
were gift receivers and
Mrs. Grace Julius, aunt of
the bride was song leader.
The reception was held
at Hostetter’s Banquet
Hall, Mount Joy. Following
a wedding trip to the
Poconos the couple will
reside in Mount Joy.
The bride is a graduate
of Donegal- High School
class of ’71 and Millersville,
State College class of ’75.
She is employed by Man-
heim Central School Dis-
trict, at the Mastersonville
Elementary School.
The groom graduated
from Hempfield High
School, class of ’'69 and
Lebanon Valley College,
class of 73. He is employ-
ed at the H.C. Burgard
Elementary School, Man-
heim Central School Dis-
trict.
Donegal Day Camp
The Donegal Day Camp
for registered Girl Scouts
will be held August 1 thru
S at Sico Park, Mount Joy
from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Girls
should bring a packed
lunch including a drink
each day as well as a
sit-upon and rain wear.
On Tuesday all girls who
have bikes should bring
them to camp to participate
in the bike clinic.
Thursday and Friday,
August 4 and 5, scouts may
report to the Mount Joy
pool at 9 a.m. where
swimming will be held
from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Any
questions concerning day
camp may be answered by
the directors: Elle Gainer
