The lawn was the happy scene for children with their games, while the adults engaged in both church business and pleasure. The election of officers for the future year was completed. The new slate consists of Mrs. Mary Portner, presi- dent; Alice Snavely, vice- president; Christine Se- crest, secretary; and Dor- othy Red, treasurer. Dor- othy Long, the outgoing president, graciously thanked all the women for their fine support during her tenure of office, and expressed her hope that the women would continue their support to the new officials. Engle —is new pastor at Cross Roads Brethren Church The Cross Roads Breth- ren in Christ Church, Mount Joy, Pa. will be holding an Installation Ser- vice for their new Associate Pastor, Rev. Dale H. Eng- le, on Sunday morning, July 10, 1977 at 10:30 a.m. C.B. Byers, Bishop of the Atlantic Conference of the Brethren in Christ church, will be presiding at the service. Rev. Engle, a graduate of Hershey High School, received his BA degree in Bible from Messiah College in Grantham, Pa. He then graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary, Wilmore, Kentucky in 1975. He served as Associ- ate Pastor of the Brethren in Christ Church in Cham- bersburg, Pa., and most recently was the Associate Pastor of the Family Bible Church in Mesa, Arizona. While attending Asbury, he met and married Mona Jean Simpson, a Registered Nurse, who was born and reared in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky where she was an active participant and worker in the various phases of her church. The Engles will be taking up residence in the parson- age adjacent to the church. Vacation Bibie school Vacation Bible School will be held at the Marietta Mennonite Church, July 11 to 1S each evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The church is located on the corner of Porter and Essex St. There are classes for all ages S years through adult.
