Bachelor degrees were awarded to 424 students and 39 students received their master’s degree. ® Mitchell ® Nissley makes ® dean’s list Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute has announced that Mr. Mitchell E. Niss- ley, 612 Wood St., Mount Joy, made Dean’s List for the spring semester. To qualify for Dean’s List, candidates must be fulltime students, earn at least a 3.0 grade average out of a possible 4.0 and not have any grades lower than C. 4-H photo club meets The June meeting of the Lancaster County 4-H Photography Club was held June 1, 1977 at the Farm and Home Center. About 25 members were present. The older members in the club discussed and debated film speeds and film ratings. They also made tentative plans for a field trip to be held later this month. The younger members discussed parts of a camera and how they function. They also made plans for a field trip to Landis Valley. The next meeting of the club will be held July 7, 1977 at the Farm and Home Center. Anyone in- terested is still welcome to attend the meetings. DID YOU HEAR... The Boy Scout Indian Dancers, mostly from May- town, will perform at the Commonwealth Bank in Lancaster Square at 11:30 and 1:15 on Saturday. The Dancers are under the direction of Woody Myers. The dancing is part of the Family Fair. John Wert Mennonite service volunteer John Wert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wert of Mount Joy, recently began a term of volunteer service with the Eastern Mennon- ite Board of Missions. He will work for ten weeks as a youth counselor in Ver- mont. John is a graduate of Lancaster Mennonite High, and attends Millersville State. SUSQUE ANNA TIMES - Page 7 DID YOU HEAR... The ripest tomatoes in Susquehanna country seem to be in Marietta this week. Earl Marley, Paul Raber, and Mrs. Ralph Youtz all report picking ripe ones this past week. The only tomato clearly identified by name was Paul’s —‘‘Early Girl.” Rumor has it that Johnny Buller and Ivan Hess found a few in Maytown. Our informants in Mount Joy said flatly that there are no ripe tomatoes there.
