Obituaries
SHERMAN BRENNER
Sherman E. Brenner, 63,
Bainbridge R1, died at 2:50
a.m. Sunday at Lancaster
Osteopathic Hospital fol-
lowing a three-year illness.
A son of the late Daniel
E. and Adeline Fink Bren-
ner, he was the husband of
Elva M. Leber Brenner. A
resident of the Bainbridge
area for most of his life, he
was employed by Bethle-
hem Steel as a chipper for
32% years prior to his
retirement.
He was a member of the
Lobata Gun Club, the
American Legion No. 197
and the United Steel Work-
ers of America, Local 1688.
He was a veteran of
World War II, stationed in
the South Pacific.
Besides his widow, he is
survived by a stepdaught-
er, Miriam, wife of Albert
Gardner, and two stepsons,
Benjamin Jones, Stowe,
and Robert E. Jones,
Lancaster.
Also surviving are seven
stepgrandchildren, two
stepgreat - grandchildren
and two sisters, Mrs.
Alverta Keister, York, and
Mrs. Janice Kuhn, York. A
brother, Robert Brenner,
Bainbridge, also survives.
CLYDE M. BRILL
Clyde M. Brill, an auto-
body repairman for George
Stiffel, Lancaster, died ear-
ly Saturday at St. Joseph
Hospital after an illness of
several months.
Brill was 62 and lived at
118 N. Barbara St., Mount
Joy. He was the husband
of Elsie Dillinger Brill.
A member of Trinity
Lutheran. Church, Mount
Joy, Brill lived in Mount
Joy for the past 36 years.
Born in Columbia, he
was a son of Mrs. Clara
Schlotthauer Brill, Lancast-
er, and the late Samuel C.
Brill.
Besides his widow and
mother, he is survived by
one daughter, Margaret E.,
wife of the Rev. Kenneth
L. Knosp, Lebanon; two
grandchildren, and one
brother, Carl S. Brill,
Lancaster.
