They also had a party to celebrate the full ownership of their building on Longenecker Road east of town. They had been paying on it since 1962. While the mortgage was burning, a 220-pound pig had been roasting on a spit since 3:00 a.m. that morn- ing. Music was provided by the John Enck country and western band from Man- heim. Attending were 1S guests from the Coatsville Vet- erans’ Hospital. The festivities were held under the new pavillion, on which there is no mort- gage. The meeting was called to order by commander Martin S. Brown. Rev. Whitesel of St. Luke's Episcopal Church led a prayer. Then, following an address by 9th District commander Raymond C. Mullin, the paper was burned. The elected officers of Mount Joy V.F.W.
