June 8, 1977 Music recital at Weaver’s Sylvia M. Weaver pre- sented the following private music students in two reci- tals in her home this past Sunday, June Sth. In the afternoon recital, the fol- lowing students participat- ed: Tammy Appler, flute; John Bell, flute; Daryl Gerlach, piano; Kim. Gock- ley, piano; Karen Kniss, piano; Kathy Kniss, piano; Joette Keller, flute; Judy Keller, voice; Tom Longe- necker, piano; David Myers piano; Melissa Myers, piano; Ben Snyder, piano; Gracie Snyder, piano. In the evening recital Mrs. Weaver presented Belle Balmer, flute; Tish Barnitz, flute and piano; Cindy Charles, voice; Patty Jo Cranford, flute; Jan Eyer, flute; Donna Hay, flute and piano; Lisa Mummaw, flute and piano; Cindy Peifer, flute; Beth Prowell, flute; Deb Ross, flute; and Chris Spickler, flute. Students and parents were served refreshments following the recitals. ‘Alphabet Revue’ at Grandview The Grandview morning kindergarten class put on a program on May 17 called “An Alphabet Revue.’’ The program was introduced by the entire class singing the. alphabet song. Afterward each student recited a verse about the letter tc which he had been as- signed. These letters were worn on the students’ chests. Many of them used props to illustrate the verse. From there they sang the spelling songs and spelled our different words. The finale was another ABC song that the class worked very hard to learn.
