Col. J. F.. Jones, U.S.
Marines, was speaker for
the Marietta Alumni As-
sociation Annual Banquet
held at Mr. Lacy’s Lounge,
Marietta, Saturday night.
He compared training of
the Marines to that of
college and stated that the
former educated a member
for life, while college was
only career oriented. He
sighted the moral decay of
Today's society and the
influence of pornography
on youth. However, the
Marietta High School grad-
uate feels Americans are
citizens of a great nation.
Classes of 1927 and 1952
were honored guests of the
Alumni, with four members
“of the former class attend-
ing: Perry Stewart, Ellen
Schock Rothscheaffer, Je-
annie Seaman Baker and
Beatrice McElroy Hoffer.
Members of the class of ’52
celebrating their 25th year
since graduation present
were: Vivian Moran Car-
roll, Ginny Eurich Sargen,
laney Hummel Marley,
Ann Funk Miller, Don
