Joan plans to attend the Florida Bible College to major in Bible Studies. Barbara Blouch, Marian Avenue, Mount Joy, re- ceived a certificate at graduation ceremonies for the fifth class of the Pri- mary Care Physician's Assistant Program, Friday, May 27 at 2 p.m., at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center of the PA State University. The new physician’s assistant has completed a 15-month educational pro- gram which included five months of classroom and clinical instruction at the Grant S. Markley Boy and Girl of Month Grant S. Markley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl H. Markley, 421 East Market St., Marietta, was named Donegal’s Boy of the month for June. He is a senior in the academic course at Donegal High School. Grant’s high school ac- tivities include: German Club—(Histor- ian)—11, 12; Science Fair Club—(Historian)—12; Na- tional Honor Society—11, 12; Who's Who Among American High School Stu- dents—11; DHS Science Fair Winner—11, 12; 1st Place County Science Fair Winner—12; U.S. Army Award (Science Fair)—12; Lancaster County Civil De- fense Award (Science Fair) —12 and Donegal High School C.E.P. Grant is President of the Marietta United Methodist Church. He is also a member of the Youth Fellowship—11, 12 and a member of the Marietta United Methodist Adminis- trative Board—12. He worked part-time for Jiffy Shoppe, Columbia,and is a former newspaper boy. He also worked at the Spanish Club Carnival—11. Grant plans to attend Millersville State College to major in Biology. He at- tended Elizabethtown Col- lege during the summer of 1976 on a scholarship. Barbara Blouch —becomes physician’s assistant Medical Center and 10 months of training with physician preceptors. The physician’s assistant is trained to take patient histories, perform physical exams, assist in laboratory studies, give injections, su- ture wounds and perform other procedures, thus allowing the physician to concentrate on more sophisticated diagnosis and treatment needs.
