Charles, 67, OBITUARIES Bainbridge, a retired auto- died mobile mechanic, Weds. afternoon at Lan- caster General Hospital after an illness of several months. He was the husband of the late Ruth W. Charles. Before his retirement in 1970, he had been em- ployed by Arnold’s garage, Maytown, for 33 years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Bainbridge. He was a charter member and past president of the Bain- bridge- Maytown Rotary. He was also a charter member of the Bainbridge Water Authority, of which he was president. In ad- dition, he was a member of Bainbridge Island Gun Club, Conewago Gun Club and Bainbridge and May- town Fire Companies. Born in Bainbridge, he was the son of the late Jacob and Minnie Hoffman Charles.
