977 Sn ——— May 25, 1977 “Happy Days’’ For a musical/comedy to be successful, a competent back stage crew is Essen- tial. In the upcoming pro- duction on June 3rd and 4th, the following have been extremely dedicated and helpful. They are: Jeanne Freed and Katie Carroll, who are in charge of the program and help back stage. Steve Henry who is helping with cos- tumes and stage crew. Steve Adams who is assis- tant stage director, round- ed off with Tom Bair and Randy Shelly, operating the ropes of the curtains. Those Happy Days, a musical comedy revue of the fifties will be presented on June 3rd and 4th in the Donegal High School Audi- torium. The curtain is at 8 p.m. Tickets may be pur- chased from any cast mem- Randy Shelly “Steve Henry ber or by calling Mrs. Vivian Carroll in the even- ings at 426-1270. The plot is developed through a series of flash- backs brought on by the return of the 1954 Gradu- ating Class, whose class incidentally voted not to have a twenty-five year reunion but instead a twenty-three year day at school with a combination Senior Prom / Reunion Dance in the new gym. The play uses various devices of, the stage such as pantomine, tap dance, vaudville antics, hootenan- nies, and even drama to convey its very simple message. Simply stated: ‘““People really don’t change.” The fifties had their thinkers, jokers, and fun seekers. The problem is that it is easier to see ok % Steve Adams Jeanne Freed the faults of the young people at hand since it is only natural to remember mainly the good incidents about the past. There are eighty-five people in supporting roles. Seventy additional students will work on sound, lights, program, publicity, cos- tumes, tickets, scenery, and make-up. The entire production is under the direction of Mr. Joseph Siberski, English Instructor, at Donegal High School. The show is being spon- sored by the Parents Boos- ter Club. The money will help defray the costs of Project D-Lite. Tickets can be purchased at Sloan’s Pharmacy, Mount Joy, Hi-Lo in Marietta, any football players or cast member.
