Letters (Ed. note: This is a copy of a letter sent to Rep. Kenneth Brandt.) Dear Mr. Brandt: I am a member of the faculty at Riverview Elementary School located along Route 441, Marietta. May 16th 1 had my second narrow escape from being hit as I was attempt- ing a left-hand turn into the school drive. My signal lights in both cases were on in good time to warn the drivers of my Fun Day at Maytown ROL Amanda Swab of Maytown impersonates a traffic barrier. The tug-o-war. May 25, 1977 intentions, but they went around me regardless. Very recently, one of our buses was hit. Last school year one of our employees was hit. Several of our employees, faculty mem- bers, and our principal have been almost hit. It seems the traffic lines on the highway give the drivers a feeling of all- clear and they exercise no caution whatsoever. A bit farther west of the school. I've noticed double solid lines on the highway. I believe the double solid lines prohibiting passing should be in front of our school. I have not observed any SCHOOL or SLOW signs giving the drivers any warning of the proximity of the school. This is definitely a dan- gerous place. I am hoping some action will be taken before we have a fatality or serious injuries. Sincerely, Mrs. Esther H.
