Mrs. Schwert’s fifth grade class at Riverview hosted and .Easter party on Thursday, April 7. Mrs. Fox’s IU13 students were the guests. The party was held to help fifth graders gain a better understanding of how mentally retarded people are different and alike everyone else. Mrs. Fox spoke to Mrs. Shwert’s class about mental retard- ation prior to the party. At the party, each child from Mrs. Fox’s class was greeted at the door by one of Mrs. Schwert’s students. Mrs. Schwert’s students introduced themselves and then led their new friends on a hunt to find baskets filled with goodies. The baskets were made by the fifth graders.
