Boy Scouts
hold fund drive
Philip Glatfelter, II, Vice
President of American
Bank in Columbia, announ-
ced the Kick-off of the
Sustaining Membership
Enrollment fund drive for
the Boy Scouts. Mr. Glat-
felter, Columbia Area
Chairman, is a life-long
resident of Columbia, has a
son, Carl, in Pack 3S of
Columbia, and a daughter
very active in the local Girl
Scout program.
Mr. Glatfelter accepted
the position as Chairman
for 2 reasons. The first is
the fine Scouting program
that has always existed in
Columbia under the direc-
tion of dedicated volunteers
and the Columbia Leaders
Scout Council which has
always worked closely with
the Western District and
the Lancaster-Lebanon
Council to provide an
excellent program for the
boys of Columbia.
The second reason was
the fact that the dedication
of the fine group of
workers will undoubtedly
result in the attainment of
the $2,00 goal.
