Credit Union names Pat Kenney director
Patrick Kennedy, Jr.
Patrick Kenney, Jr. was
named president of the
Lancaster County Employ-
ee’s Credit Union last
Tuesday at a meeting of
the board of directors.
Kenney has been presi-
dent since the credit union
was organized last Septem-
ber.
Others named were Peter

ly at the Lancaster County
Courthouse. Ms. Barbara
Wooten, membership
officer, reported that 207
members belong to the
credit union. Payroll deduc-

chairperson of the credit
committee, reported loans

A member of the super-
visory committee, Mrs.
Doris James said her com-
mittee had audited the
books on March 11, 1977,
and found accounts and
statements to be accurate.
Re-elected to the board
of directors were Patrick
Kenney, Jr., for three
years; Ms. Bomgardner,
Glenn Hoffman
Glenn H. Hoffman,
M.D., a family practice
specialist, has joined the
Philhaven medical staff ac-
cording to Rowland Shank,
Ph.D., chief executive of-
ficer of the hospital. Phil-
haven is a mental health
facility near Mt. Gretna,
Pa., sponsored by the
Lancaster Mennonite Con-
ference.
Prior to joining the
hospital staff, Dr. Hoffman
was involved as a principal
partner in the general
practice of Engle and
Hoffman Associates of
Palmyra, Pa.
A native of Maytown,
Pa., Dr. Hoffman attended
Messiah College Prior to
graduating from Goshen
College, Goshen, In., with
a bachelor of arts degree in
natural science in 1950. He
subsequently enrolled in
Jefferson Medical College,
Philadelphia, Pa., where he
earned a medical degree in
1954.
After serving a 12 month
.internship at Harrisburg
Hospital, Harrisburg, Pa.,
Dr. Hoffman, initiated a
three-year tour of duty with
the Mennonite Central
Committee Medical Relief
in Indonesia.
For the first two years he
was involved in a number
of outpatient clinics on
Java, one of the greater
Sundra Islands. These clin-
ics were administrated by
MCC in conjunction with
the local churches.
During his last year with
MCC, Dr. Hoffman opened
a new medical unit on
Halmahera, part of the
North Molucca Islands just
south of the Phillipines.
Upon returning to the
United States in 1959, Dr.
Hoffman entered a one-
year residency at the Good
Samaritan Hospital in Le-
banon, Pa., before begin-
ning his general medical
practice in 1960. Indicative
of his qualifications, he has
been a diplomat of the
American Board of Family
Practice since 1972.
In addition to his active
involvement with the Pal-
myra Brethren In Christ
Church where he is a
member and serves as a
deacon, Dr. Hoffman func-
tions on the governing
bodies of a number of
organizations. He is pre-
sently chairman of the
board for Messiah Chil-
dren’s Home, Mount Joy,
Pa., and vice chairman of
the Brethren In Christ
Board for Missions which is
headquartered in Elizabeth-
town, Pa.
He also sits on the
Palmyra Borough Board of:
Health, was medical direc-
tors of the United Christian
Church Home near Ann-
ville, PA and served as
board member of the
Brooklane Psychiatric Cen-
ter, Hagerstown, MD.
Dr. Hoffman is married
to the former Faithe Mus-
ser. The Hoffmans and
their six children reside at
629 W. Pine Street, Pal-
myra, PA.

years; and Ms. Sandra Van
Dusen, one year.
Kenney reported on the
progress of the credit union
from September 1976 to
March 29, 1977.
