Haas Mrs. Anna E. Haas, 88, formerly of 12 W. Walnut St., Marietta, died at 12:50 p.m. Monday at the Fair- view Manor Convalescent Home, Columbia. She had been a patient there for nine years. Born in Elizabethtown, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth Hamilton Roberts. She was the widow of Joseph L. Haas, who died in 1951. She was a member of the Zion's Lutheran Church, Marietta. Surviving are two daugh- ters: Marian, wife of Har- old Saunders, and Edith, wife of Charles L. Nell, both of Lancaster. Maxwell, 64, of 204 Mount Joy St., Mount Joy, died unexpect- edly at 1 p.m., Sunday at his home. A truck driver, he had been under a doctor’s care for a heart condition. He had been employed by National Standard Cor- poration, Mount Joy, as a truck driver for the past 10 years, and prior to that he was a self-employed truck- er. He was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. Mount Joy Sportsmen’s Association and Friendship Fire Com- pany, Mount Joy. He was also a member of Teansters Union Local 354, South Bend, Ind. Born in Paxtang, he was a son of the late Zachiary and Anna Fissel Maxwell. Surviving are his widow, Clara A. Zeamer Maxwell; a son, George W. Maxwell Jr., Mount Joy; two daugh- ters, Anita, wife of Larry Herr, Mount Joy, and Donna, wife of Barry Swei- gart, Elizabethtown; five grandchildren; two broth- ers, Walter, Kansas City, Mo., and Arthur, Mount Joy, and four sisters, Mrs. Helen Shopf, Columbia; Mrs. Grace Leppard, Dun- cannon; Mrs. Florence Kil- lian, Mount Joy, and Edna, wife of Lewis Bentz, Mech- anicsburg. March 23, 1977 Mrs. Gynieth W. Meyers Mrs. Gynieth Wilcox Meyers, 62, formerly of Mount Joy, died Monday morning at the Swedish Covenant Hospital, Chica- go, Ill., after an illness of one year. Born in Deshler, Ohio, she was the daughter of Mrs. Eva L. Wilcox and Ransom Wilcox. Her husband, the Rev. Richard H. Meyers, died in 1971, after pastoring at Saltillo Church, Hunting- don County. She was employed by the Lancaster Bible College book store from 1972 to 1975 and resided for a time in Mount Joy. She was a member of the Calvary Independent Baptist faith. Surviving are two daugh- ters: Lucille M., wife of the Rev. Gerald Safstrom, Niles, Ill., with whom she resided; and E. Loise, wife of the Rev. Gordon Cleve- land, Smethport. Also surviving are nine grandchildren; two broth- ers: Howard J. Wilcox, and Carl Wilcox, both of Toledo Ohio; three sisters: Geral- dine, wife of the Rev. John Halsey, Newark, Ohio; Ethel, wife of the Rev. John Smith, McComb, Ohio; and Mrs. Bernadine Christy, Leitsie, Ohio.
