Maytown Square gets fresh paint

Band parents collect paper
The Donegal Band Par-
ents Club will sponsor a
scrap paper drive on Satur-
day, March 19, from 8 a.m.
until 10 a.m. Persons may
take their contributions to
these centers: Maytown
Elementary School, River-
view Elementary School,
and the Donegal High
School. For large amounts
call these persons: May-
town, Ken Barnhart at
426-3773; Marietta, Banks
Wagner at 426-3748; and
Mount Joy, Earl Brightbill
at 653-4910.
Helen Hendrix and
Sandy Gotwalt will co-chair
a sale of apothecary jars
filled with gourmet pop
corn. The project will last
three days and each mem-
ber of the band will receive
the 75% profit on each jar
sold. Monies earned by
band members will be
contributed toward the
band trip to the Azalea
Festival, in Norfolk Virginia
April 28, 29, 30.
2,124 hoagies were made
and delivered on Saturday
by the Band club and band
members as a combined
project.
Circle Creek triumphs
Circle Creek Camp-
grounds put it all together
Sunday and came away
with the overall title in
Chiques Co-Ed Volleyball
League.
The defending league
champs beat Big ‘‘L”’ four
out of five matches, 15-8,
8-15, 14-12, 15-6 and 15-13.
The games were expect-
ed to be closer as the two
teams had been tied for
first at the end of the
regular season. Circle
Creek went on to win a
special playoff to take the
season title.
