Sutter signs
for 2 years
Bruce Sutter has signed
a two year contract as a
relief pitcher with the
Chicago Cubs. He reported
to Arizona for spring train-
ing on February 10.
Bruce is married to the
former Jayne Shank,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Jim Shank, Maytown. She
and their son, Josh, ac-
companied the Donegal
graduate to Arizona.
Richman
to speak
on antiques
The social science pro-
gram at Penn State-Capitol
Campus will conduct a six
week course entitled
‘American Antiques’’.
The instructor for the
course will be Dr. Irwin
Richman, Bainbridge. Dr.
Richman is professor of
American studies at Penn
State and the author of
books, articles, and pamph-
lets on PA and American
history. He has served as
curator of history at the
William Penn Memorial
Museum, and as special
projects assistant to the
Executive Director of the
PA Historical and Museum
Commission.
The course, which is de-
signed primarily for the
interested beginner,» will
cover such topics as what
an antique really is and
what the connoisseur looks
for. The course will cover
specifically how to identify
antique American furni-
ture, paintings, glass,
ceramics, metals, floor
coverings, textiles, and
baskets.

two children, are now
living in Elkins, W. Vir-
ginia. Dr. Byers, the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Martin R.
Byers, 281 W. Market St.,
Marietta, recently ended
his service in the U. S.
Navy.
He attended grade school
in Marietta,was graduated
in 1963 from Donegal High
School, from Elizabethtown
College in 1967, and from
Philadelphia College of
Osteopathic Medicine in
1972.
