Market St., Mari- etta, on Sunday, February 13th at 7 p.m. The film is the true story of a teen- ager’s life of crime that was changed by an aston- -ishing Christian conversion. A dramatic motion pic- -cordially ture, ‘Devil At The Wheel’' was filmed on location in Northern Cali- fornia where the actual events occured. It’s a superb film for teenagers. Sloan A fact we are all familiar with is that the Bible, year after year, continues to appear on the best sellers list. Today we are fortunate to be able to select, from many different translations, the Bible that will enable us to have a better under- standing of the scriptures. In 1960 there were two women in New York who wanted to reach out and share the gospel with their neighbors. After Marilyn Kunz and Catherine Schell ‘wrote the first study book, Neighborhood Bible Studies was born. From that hum- ble beginning, 17 years ago, Neighborhood Bible Studies has grown to in- clude groups from Maine to Hawaii, Canada and other countries. The two found- ers are still writing and over 16 study books have been published. Many of these have been translated into Spanish, German and other languages. In Mount Joy, Maytown and Marietta there are 11 groups meeting weekly to study the Bible, using Neighborhood Bible Study material. Some groups meet during the day, for about an hour and a half; others are couple groups who meet in the evening. The members represent varied backgrounds and ‘church denominations, but the material has been prepared in such a way that you grow spiritually as you study and share. Each week the leadership and meeting place is rotat- ed, which gives all mem- bers an opportunity to participate fully. There are no experts, each individual has the joy of discovering -what the scriptures say, what they mean and how to apply this knowledge to every day living. Through Neighborhood Bible Studies you can find answers to questions that have been . bothersome, be reached where you are, and experi- ence a deepening of your faith. If you desire additional information, Mrs. Martha Reapsome is the area coordinator and she can be reached at 569-6655. 3 ne vy ow :: % a TR
