    The semi-monthly meet-
ing of the Marietta Lions
Club was held at the
Colonial Inn. Charles Her-
shey, District 14-B, Zone A
coordinator-chairman, and
a member of the Mount
Joy club, made numerous
informative comments and
extended an invitation to
the local group to attend a
joint meeting on February
7th at the Mount Joy
Legion.
At the program sponsor-
ed by the Landisville Loins
Club, leader dogs will be
discussed. Speaker for the
Georgeanne Fitzkee
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
George Fitzkee, 615 Done-
gal Springs Road, Mount
Joy, has completed all the
requirements for the B.S.
in Ed. degree at Slippery
Rock State College. Miss
The residential Heart
Fund drive will begin
February 1. This drive is
conducted by volunteers for
the American Heart Asso-
ciation, Lancaster, Penn-
sylvania Chapter. Mr.
Samuel Harnish heads the
Donegal District. He will
be assisted by Mrs. Hazel

joint session will be Miss
Grace Kleinhaus, State
Leader Dog Representative.
She will be accompanied by
her leader dog, Bullet.
The next meeting, on
February 10, at the Colon-
ial Inn, will be a father and
son banquet. An invitation
was read from the Marietta
Restoration Associates for
the Lions to attend the
Henry Rutherford Memor-
ial Service on February 1S,
at 2 p.m. at War Memorial
Park.
Robert Cresswell was
presented with a lapel pin

Elementary Education
while at Slippery Rock, has
been an active member of:
Delta Zeta Sorority
(Treas.); Lambda Chi Ail-
pha Crescent (Pres.); Lam-

Helen Wivell and Mrs.
Mary Ann Spangler in
Marietta Boro.

by the local chapter of the
American Heart Associa-
tion. These programs in-

A letter of appreciation
was read from the Restora-
tion Associates thanking
the local Lions for their
assistance in the recent
Christmas by Candlelight
Tour.
The Red Rose Transit
Authority informed the club
that it will extend its
services to include Marietta
within the next two or
three months. Additional
information will be for-
warded in the future.
