The Pastor-Parish Committee of the congregation has ap- proved the recommenda- tions of the following per- sons to serve the church beginning January 1, 1977: The church’s new organ- ist will be Mrs. Darlene Sugarwala of Landisville. A graduate of Millersville State College, Mrs. Sugar- wala studied organ with Karl Moyer and Carl Schroeder locally. She is a second grade teacher in the Columbia School System. As Director of the Chan- cel Choir and the Westley Singers the congregation has chosen Mrs. Anna Mae Williamson of Millersville. Also a teacher in Columbia (6th grade), Mrs. William- son is a Mus. Ed. graduate of Lebanon Valley College with extensive experience in public school and church music. The third team member is Mrs. Elizabeth Baley of Mount Joy, Mrs. Baley is the Kindergarten teacher at the Seiler Elementary School of Mount Joy. Her responsibilities will be for the children’s choirs (Cher- ub and Celestial). A gradu- ate of Elizabethtown Col- lege, Mrs. Baley is a skilled musician in her own right; she has a number of piano pupils. This fine group of per- sons will continue St. Mark’s long tradition of musical excellence in a congregation which is deeply appreciative of music in the Christmas experience. Anyone interested in be- ing part of one of the church’s musical organiza- tion should inquire by calling 653-5493. COME MEDITATE On New Year’s Eve, the sanctuary of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Mount Joy, will be open for anyone to come by and meditate. The pastor, W. Richard Kohler, will be on hand during the period from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. to offer the Sacrament of Holy Communion to all who desire it. Persons may come and go as per their need and inclination. Then on Sunday, January 2, 1977, There will be two services of worship at which the Lord’s Supper will be observed. The 8:00 a.m. Service is brief and informal. The elements are offered to worshippers at the altar rail. At 10:15 a.m. there will be a Covenant Service at which time the newly elected officers of the congregation will be consecrated for their re- spective tasks in the church. Holy Communion will be shared in the pews. On Wednesday Evening, January Sth, the regular family night program with an activity for every age group, will be resumed. The community is invited to worship with us at all times.
