Episcopal women hold Christmas party The Episcopal Church Women of St. John’s Epis- copal Church, Marietta, recently enjoyed their an- nual Christmas Party at the Railroad House, Marietta. A Jamaican pot roast dinner was served. Special guests at the dinner were Minnie Yeaple and Frances Hawthorne. Elizabeth Miley, also a special guest was unable to attend. Gifts were exchanged and an hour of fellowship was enjoyed after the dinner. Annual meeting at St. John’s church The annual meeting of the St. John’s Episcopal Parish, Marietta, was held in conjunction with their regular morning worship on Sunday. Status reported were given by Mrs. Harold Deitrick, church school and ‘Mrs. Robert Long, finan- ces. David Marley spoke on the progress of the youth group and Mrs. Long also reported on the Women’s group and Alter Guild. Aristede S. Red, Rector, spoke of a need to become aware of the outside world and to end parochial think- ing which limits our ability th brsssnrss ards Saas to help a world in need. A light lunch was pre- pared and served by the women of the church. New member for Vestry for 1977 are: Moses Betz, Harold Kulman, Robert Long, Earl Marley, Eugene Marley, “Alice Snavely, Terry Shope and Edgar Shopf. Edgar Shopf was appointed Senior Warden of the Parish by the Reverend Red. The Junior Warden will be elected by the incoming Vestry at its first meeting in January.
