‘‘Poinsettia’’ in a log
Chet Loucks and his son® Chuck were cutting driftwood
along the banks of the Susquehanna when they noticed
red sawdust coming from the log they were sawing. In
the center of the log was a bright red pattern. Chuck cut
a section from the log and varnished it (see photo
above). The pattern reminds Mrs. Loucks of a
poinsettia. She is using the log-section to decorate her
Marietta home. The red stain runs the whole length of
the log.
I was sittin’ here thinkin’ and thinkin’ but there
seems to be no new way to say it. So the old wish
comes to all our friends and customers
