At a meeting of the
Board of School Directors
of the Donegal School
District on the 2nd of
December, 1976, the fol-
lowing resolution was duly
enacted:
BE IT RESOLVED by the
Board of School Directors:
of Donegal School District,
and is hereby resolved as
follows:
1. All taxpayers who
shall fail to make payment
of any taxes
against them by Donegal
School District pursuant to
the Act of May 25, 1945
(P.L. 1050, - No. 394),
known. as the ‘“‘Local Tax
Collection Law’’ for four
(4) months after the date
of the tax notice forwarded
to such taxpayers, shall be
charged a penalty of ten
per centum (10%) which
penalty shall be added to
the taxes by the tax
collector and be collected -
by him.
2. All taxpayers subject
to the payment of taxes
“assessed by Donegal School
District pursuant to the
““Local Tax Collection Law’
shall be entitled to a
discount of 2 per centum
(2%) from the amount of
such tax upon making
payment of the whole
amount thereof within two
(2) months after the date of
the tax notice.
3. All resolutions, pro-/
visions, rules and regula-
charged -
tions inconsistent herewith
are hereby revoked, sus-
pended, and repealed.
4. This Resolution shall
be effective at midnight,
June 30, 1977. -

Members of the ‘‘Pro-
ductions Inc.”’ presented
their version of ‘“The Littl-
est Angel’’ for members of
the Mount Joy Business
and Professional Womens
Club at the Christmas
meeting at Hostetters Ban-
quet Hall. The show was
arranged by the Music and
Social committee.
Mrs. Leslie Blake, chair-
person, introduced mem-
bers of the fourth grade at
Seiler. and Grandview
Elementary Schools who
presented excerps from
their production ‘‘Christ-
mas Is:”’. Mrs. Barry Enos
is director of the students.
Members of the Music
and Social committee are

Lester Roberts, Miss Doro-
thy Schock, Miss Louise
Kulman, Mrs. Paul Wittle,
Mrs. John Way, Miss Mil-
dred Way, Miss Ester
Walters, Miss Alice Keller,
and Betty Jean Mumma.
Mrs. John Fry presided
for the business session.
Mrs. Michael Baley, chair-
person of the Personal
Development committee,
introduced the girl of the
month, Phyllis Shope,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Terrence Shope. Marietta.
Mrs. Shope was also a
guest of the club. Special
invited guests were home
owners who opened their
structures for the BPW
sponsored tour im Novem-
ber.
Mrs. Herbert Sarver, co-
chairperson of the senior
citizen Christmas gift pro-
ject said 90 women and 18
men from the Mount Joy
area who are confined to
nursing homes will receive
gifts from the club.
The January Board meet-
ing of the BPW will be
held January 10 at the
home of Miss Mary Jane
Hoffer.
Leisure Club election
The Mount. Joy Leisure
Club held its Christmas
meeting recently at Hostet-
ters’ with 161 members
attending. After dinner, the
club was entertained by the
Kitchenaires from Lititz.
Following the program
President Shaeffer - stated
there would be no business
meeting except the report
of the nominating commit-
tee. This committee under
the chairmanship of Mil-
dred Way, Mrs. Ella Ger-
mer, Mrs. George Groff,
Mrs. Warren Bentzel, and
Mrs. Robert Schroll pre-
sented the following report
of officers nominated for
1977: President, Joe Shaef-
fer; First Vice President,
Anna Mae Eby; Second
Vice President, Eva Groff;
Secretary, Anna Zerphey;
Assistant Secretary, Nedra
Brandt; Treasurer, Almeda
Hostetter; Assistant Trea-
surer, John Brown; Re-
cording Secretary, Romaine
Good; and Assistant Re-
cording Secretary, Clinton
Eby.
All were elected.
The entertainment com-
mittee, chaired by Bertha
Foreman, will meet at
Pres. Schaeffer's home
Jan.S at 1:30 p.m.
The January meeting will
be held January 10 at
Hostetters.
