Annual dinner
at St. Mark’s UM
The members of St.
Mark’s United Methodist
Church, Mount Joy, will
assemble for their annual
dinner/meeting on Sunday,
December Sth, immediately
following the Morning
Worship Service (10:15
a.m.). The event will take
place in the church’s Fel-
lowship Hall. The meeting
will be presided over by
the Rev. Mr. William
Sharp, District Superinten-
dent, who will also preach
the sermon at the Worship
Service. The election of
church officers for 1977 is
one of the major items of
the meeting agenda along
with ‘the consideration of
the church’s proposed bud-
get for the new year.
Reports on the various
activities of the congrega-
tion during 1976 will be
followed by the projection
of goals for 1977. The Rev.
Mr. Sharp will carry out
the procedures of the.
Discipline of the United
Methodist Church in exam-
ining the life and work of
the church. He will also
challenge the people with
the many opportunities for
mission. The pastor, W.
Richard Kohler, will report
to the congregation as will
the church’s new associate,
Miss Sharon Givler.
On December 12th, in
the evening, the children of
St. Mark’s will present
their annual Christmas
program in the sanctuary.
And on Sunday evening,
December 19th, the youth
of the congregation will
present the play, ‘‘Bethle-
hem Alley’’. Two services
will be held on Christmas
Eve: the Family Service at

tional Service at 11:00 p.m.
