The second phase of the pro- gram is for all Lancaster Countians of 18 years and older who did not partici- pate in Phase L Vaccination will be given Saturday, November 14, at Riverview Elementary School, Marietta (Route 441) from 12 to S p.m. 1,000 volunteers will be needed in Phase II. Volun- teers will be acting as administrators, providing clerical support, keep lines flowing, and registering in- dividuals. Six Registered nurses will be needed at each site, four for medical screening and two for the syringe table. Licences Practical Nurses will also be helping to swab the arm before the vaccination is given. Volunteers interested in helping are urged to ca the local Chapter of the American Red Cross. The new contract will not become final until the school board votes approval at its next scheduled meet- ing, November 18. Under the agreement: Most teachers will get a $900 raise this year and a $1000 raise next year. Starting teachers will get $8,200 this year. Starting teachers who are hired next year will get $8,700. The old salary was $7,500. Teachers with 1 year of experience will get $8,800 this year. The old salary was $8,400. Teachers will also get improved medical insur- ance and retirement bene- fits. No non-economic items are included in the pack- age. The agreement will not pinch this year’s school budget, board spokesmen say. The effect on next year’s milage, if any, will depend on changes in state funding regulations. Richman conducts workshop A workshop on restoring and renovating a victorian or Edwardian house will be held Saturday, November 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Penn State-Capitol Cam- pus. One of the experts on renovation and architecture who will conduct the work- shop is Dr. Irwin Richman, chairman of the American Studies Graduate Program at Penn State-Capitol Cam- pus and author of Pennsy- Ivania’s Architecture.
