completed basic training at
Lockland Air Force Base,
Texas and is presently
training in photo proces-
sing at Lowry AFB, Colo-
rado. He expects to com-
plete the 1S week course by
Christmas and visit his
hometown enroute to his
new assignment. (Thomp-

Lowry AFB, 3431 Student
Square, Colorado, 80230).

Eric enlisted in. the
United States Air Force in
the ‘‘Buddy’’ Program,
whereby friends can go to
basic training together. The
Donegal graduate and
Martin Barr, R.D. #1, Col-
umbia, have been together
since enlisting and are
roommates at Lowry.
Barr, son of Mr. and
Mrs. J. Howard Barr,
graduated from Lancaster
Catholic High School and is
in the same program as
Thompson.
Round Robin Riot
tennis tourney held
by Marianne Coover
On October 5, a group of
twenty-four women partici-
pated in the second Round
Robin Riot Tennis Tourna-
ment, which was held at
the Mount Joy tennis
courts. Although the tennis
did not reach professional
standards, all the ladies
agreed it was a day filled
with fun.
Winners of the tourna-
ment, with 35 games,
were: Beverly Becker and
Claudette Miller. They re-
ceived a trophy for their
win. Two teams ran a close
second, winning 32 games
each. Pat Miller and Mir-
iam Gibble tied with Joan
Good and Sandy Bradley.
Tennis balls were donated
by the Mount Joy Tennis
Club and awarded to the
runners-up.
