PROVISIONS OF THE ACT

P.L. 382, AS AMENDED,
PROPOSING TO AMEND
THE ARTICLES OF IN-
CORPORATION OF SAID
AUTHORITY BY, CHANG-
ING THE NAME OF SAID
AUTHORITY AND EX-
TENDING THE TERM OF
ITS CORPORATE EXIST-
ENCE
WHEREAS, Mt. Joy
Borough Autority, with its
registered office in Mount
Joy. Lancaster County,
Pennsylvania, was duly or-
ganized and is now existing
under the provisions of the
Municipality Authorities
Act, approved May 2, 1945,
P.L. 382, as amended, and
its Certificate of Incorpora-
tion was duly issued on
December 8, 1948, all pur-
suant to an Ordinance duly
adopted by said Council on
November 1, 1948; and
WHEREAS, said Author-
ity proposes to amend its
Articles of Incorporation by
changing the name of said
Authority and extending its
corporate existence; and
WHEREAS, said Author-
ity has caused a certified
copy of its Resolution,
setting forth in full the
proposed amendments to
the Articles of Incorpora-
tion of said Authority to be
submitted to the Council of
the Borough of Mount Joy,
for adoption or rejection by
the said Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, the
Council of the Borough of
Mount Joy, Lancaster
County, Pennsylvania,
hereby ordains that:
Section 1. The proposed
amendments to the Articles
of Incorporation of Mt. Joy
Borough Authority, as a-
mended, amends para-
graphs 1 and 6 of said
Articles to read as follows:
‘1. The name of the
Authority is: Mount Joy
Borough Authority.”’
“6. The term of exist-
ence of said Authority shall
be fifty (50) years from the
date of approval of these
Articles of Amendment to
the Articles of Incorpora-
tion, as previously amend-
ed."

Borough of Mount Joy.
Section 2. The Secretary
of the Council is hereby
authorized and directed to
execute and deliver to Mt.
Joy Borough Authority,
such number of certified
copies of this Ordinance as

Commonwealth, in connec-
tion with its application to
amend its Articles of Incor-
poration.
Section 3. All ordinances
or resolutions inconsistent
herewith are hereby ex-
pressly repealed, or res-
cinded, canceled and an-
nulled.
