Mr. Nilson has been assocaited with SIM since 1955 and in 1971 visited eleven African countries in order to make an in-depth study of the events which keep the emerging countries in the news. He is well qualified to give his listeners a well- balanced apprisal of Afri- can events. Anson Loose, baritone, will provide the musical entertainment, and Betty Daveler will share her enthusiasm for macrame with the group. The meeting will be held at Hostetter’s at noon. Russo Jr., who portrayed Mrs. Jacob Eicholtz, wife of the well-known Lancas- ter artist of the Colonial period. Both features were well received. Mrs. Ruthanna Metzgar, coloratura soprano, sang several numbers and was speaker of the day. Mrs. Metzgar will be heard in recital at the Stonecroft Conference in Hershey, October 22 to 24. Mrs. Paul Heisey and Mrs. Roger Weaver were awarded prizes of anniver- sary cakes. Career advice meeting program The Lancaster County Counselor's Association will be. sponsoring Lancas- ter County College Night on Monday, November 15 at Conestoga Valley High School. Eighty four admis- sions counselors will be present to discuss their schools’ programs. Parents, sophomores, juniors, sen- iors, and teachers are urged to attend. The pro- gram starts at 7:30.
