Mathiot, 116 North Gay Street, Marietta and Mr. Steven R. Hoover, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard J. Hoover, 23S Marietta Avenue, Mount Joy, were united in marri- age at the St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Mount Joy, Saturday, September 11. The Rev. W. Richard Kohler offici- ated at the 6 p.m. cere- mony. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a gown of satapeau featuring a high neckline covered with re-embroidered alen- con lace. The empire waist was outlined with venise lace. The bodice had a sheer yoke and re-em- broidered lace appliques. Tiny seed pearls adorned the lace. The sheer full sleeves were trimmed with a venise lace band and re-emboidered lace appli- ques. The skirt was adorn- ed with re-embroidered lace appliques. A deep flounce was caught up with venise lace and extended into a chapel length train. A fingertip length mantilla edged in re-embroidered alencon lace fell from a Juliet headpiece that was covered in re-embroidered alencon lace and dotted by seed pearls. She carried a cascade of ivy, sonia roses, stephanotis, carnations and baby’s breath. Mrs. Debra Morris, Marietta, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Cynthia Wivell, Mount Joy, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Jud- ith Morton, Mount Joy. Junior bridesmaids were Miss Stephanie Mathiot, Marietta, sister of the bride, and Miss Tanya Rager, Lancaster. Miss Angela Sload, Mount Joy, was flower girl. Robert Mitchell Barr, Peach Bottom, was ring- bearer. Gary Bell, Mount Joy, was best man. Randy Hamilton, Maytown, and Richard Ryder, Mount Joy, were- ushers. Steven Math- iot, Marietta, brother of the bride, and Scott Hoover, Mount Joy, brother of the bridegroom, were junior ushers. Mr. Gerald L. Miller was organist. Miss Kim Lauver was soloist. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Hostetter’s Dining Hall, Mount Joy. The couple will reside in Mount Joy. The bride graduated from Donegal High School. She is employed by Equip- ment Finance, Inc., Lan- caster. Mr. Hoover graduated from Donegal High School. He is employed by Arm- strong Cork Company, Marietta Ceiling Plant. Vickie Lilly engaged to Stephen Rettew Miss Lilly is a graduate of Donegal High School and is employed with Arm- strong Carpet Plant, Mari- etta. Her fiance is also a graduate of Donegal High Mr. and Mrs. Kermit D. Lilly, 422 West Market Street, Marietta, announce the engagement of their daughter, Vickie J. Lilly to Steven A.
