aid to the blind and hard of
hearing, and supplying
wheel-chairs and hospital
beds to those needing
them. This year proceeds
will be used to help in
construction of a pavillion
at the new A. Herr Com-
munity Park.

ox-roast beef sandwich,
roasting ears, baked
potatoes, applesauce, and
beverage will be available |
either as take-out or for
dining at tables in the
pavillion. It is situated
along Route 230 in Salunga
with plenty of free parking.

Robert Larry Laurens has |
been named to the newly
created position of assis-
tant plant manager at
Armstrong Cork Company’s
ceiling plant at Marietta,
PA.
Laurens, a graduate of
Georgia Institute of Tech-
nology, earned a master’s
degree in chemical engin-
eering before joining Arm-
strong in 1964. He served
in several positions at the
company’s ceiling materials
plant at Macon, GA. Since
1971 he has served as chief
plant chemist and quality

Macon facility.
