Sherk, Weidman at Rotary leaders’ camp Two Donegal High School students, Jacob Sherk and Mark Weidman, attended the 17th annual William E. Nitrauer Rotary Leader’s Camp from June 13 to 17, 1976. The camp is located in York County and the students were sponsor- ed by the Mount Joy Rotary Club. Both students became active in camp activities. They participated in organ- ized sports and attended lectures as well as voca- tional seminars. The Family Night con- cludes the week long activities and is always a big event. Parents and friends are invited to have dinner with the campers, take a tour of the camp and enjoy the evenings pro- gram. Physicals for DHS Donegal School District has scheduled physical examinations for Fall Athletics on the following dates: " Wednesday, July 28— Varsity Field Hockey—1 p-m.; 9th grade hockey— Both boys were given a Rotary T-shirt which they wore for the last evening. After returning to Mount Joy, Jacob and Mark attended the Mount Joy Rotary meeting on July 27th to tell of their camp- ing experiences. They told the Rotarians that in addition to making many new friends, they found the camp to be a tremendous learning ex- perience. Jacob and Mark would again like to thank the Mount Joy Rotary Club. Joy by Gene Newcomer The second annual junior youth singles tennis tourn- ament will be held on August 13, 14, and 15, 1976 at the Mount Joy Park Courts. The tournament is open to all eligible resi- dents of Mount Joy and the surrounding communities. Play will be open in the following categories: Girls 14 and under; boys 12 and under; and boys 14 and under. Trophies and prizes for each of the categories will be supplied by Kenny Smith Sporting Goods.
